What We Do
Stephen Kearney is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institute of Engineers of Ireland, who qualified with a BSc Honours degree in Structural Engineering from Trinity College in Dublin in 1992, and has over 20 years experience in the construction industry.
His experience ranges across a number of fields in the construction industry. In the early 90’s Stephen worked on civil engineering projects in London, which involved projects in RAF barracks, hospitals, schools, shopping centres and residential buildings. Following this, Stephen returned to Ireland to work as a design structural engineer for Liebherr designing container ship cranes, and then returned back into the construction business on residential projects in Dublin.

While obtaining a broad range of experience working for a number of construction and consultancy companies, Stephen started his own business in conjunction with his full-time employment in 1998. He developed this consultancy into a stand-alone business by 2002, and followed this into a limited company.
By the late 90’s, Stephen worked with an engineering consultancy firm, where he was a senior residential engineer on a £50 million project in Cork, in the south of Ireland. Following that, he worked on a large refurbishment project on Kilkenny Castle – restoring part of the castle back to its original condition, for public visitors, and converting another section into a conference centre. In 2000, Stephen worked with a large civil engineering firm in Ireland, where he was responsible for the project management of two national road projects in the south of the country – one 12km long and the other 3.5km.
